played the last show of the “Discography Retrospective” shows in Atlanta last night… it was an emotional and fun end of an era for me and i really want to thank all of you for coming to these special nights (LA, CHI, NYC, ATL). they were a different kind of show than you would normally get from me and in much smaller venues. before going out on the road with the full band to do a full on touring production this Spring, i want to do something…..

if you know about the new album preorder that consists of the $25,000 stupidity package… just know that we were joking (really) about that. one thing that i am not gonna joke about is this…

Haiti is facing possibly over 150,000 fatalities after the earthquake, and we all need to help. no matter who you are, you have to have a heart for this disaster. just knowing how many children died and how many are now orphaned is enough to make me just cry. most people know about the donating by texting you can do, but i would like to raise a few dollars to make a little difference and maybe it will provide some food and water for a few people..

i was going to auction off a few of my guitars that were used in the “Residency” series of shows this past couple of months. great guitars and they have been played at countless shows. i was thinking about auctioning my Gibson Hummingbird acoustic, my Mandolin (same one used live and on the Taylor Swift cover!) and this really bitchin’ Fender custom Telecaster that i played in the Atlanta Residency shows this past week (this guitar was given to me by a really amazing fan in Arizona, specifically for me to auction for Haiti…. you are a saint dude). stay tuned for a formal email from me, giving full details on how to get these awesome guitars and when they will go up for auction (it will be on a special Ebay charity auction site, where whoever wins will pay directly through the site to the Red Cross).
