i guess it sold out in under 2 minutes. what the Eff, Chicago? you make my head explode. i am gonna warm up those chilly winter January nights good for you guys.. then we are gonna drink some drinky afterward… deal?

Tonight is the 2nd night of the Hotel Cafe residency. a few things to make sure NOT to do if you are going:

*don’t yell out for me to play “That Taylor Swift Ukulele Song”.. it’s a mandolin, and i played it last week. no repeats. there’s a video on Youtube and it’s on my Myspace if you wanna hear the studio version i recorded last week. :-)

*don’t ask me to play something off of a record other than “The Rise and Fall..” because that is THIS WEEKS RECORD. i will, however, play “#1 Summer Jam” from the Letters album because i was an idiot and skipped it last week. deal? deal. :-)

*if you wish to have a chat with your buddy next to you, there’s a front bar in the other room that will accommodate some lively conversation. it’s just hard for me to think straight and remember song lyrics when i hear other words louder than my own while i am singing. thanks. ;-)

*as far as the set goes, bare with me because i haven’t even PLAYED some of these songs since i recorded and wrote them. this album is tough because it wasn’t meant to be played very stripped down. it’ll be a hoot no matter what though!
