This is Clark Rogers. He owned and operated the corn grist mill that he is sitting on the very steps of in this picture. This mill is in the backyard of our house in Cartersville, where I grew up. I learned how to multitrack record drums in this mill, made out with my girlfriend in it during high school, and later, shot a full scale music video in it with my old hair metal band when that music was upon us. We also had legendary mill parties in it every holiday with my mom and dad being the ultimate hosts. We sang, played gtr, ate and drank pretty much all of the alcohol in the county. Thanks, Clark, for the place of memories.. And for creating my Dad’s dream property that he basically sold everything to buy, and was able to love, live and die being the proprietor of.
